6. Atlanta Hawks – Deni Avdija, F, Israel
With Trae Young, John Collins, and Clint Capela, the Atlanta Hawks have one of the NBA’s most intriguing trios in the Eastern Conference. Though the future of Collins is somewhat uncertain, considering he will be in line for a big contract extension soon, the Hawks have a talented young core.
Adding a player like Deni Avdija would be interesting. As one of the most intriguing prospects in this draft class, Avdija is a potential piece that could send this team over the top in the next few years. Avdija can do a little of it all, from being a facilitator to hitting a 3-point basket. At 6-foot-9, the forward is a versatile prospect in the frontcourt.
In today’s NBA, he’s a player that could come in and have an impact from his first minute in the league. Though he’ll take time to reach his full potential, Avdija has the ability and tools to be a future all-star in the NBA. Playing next to Young, Collins, and Capela will only make his life easier.
