10. Phoenix Suns – Obi Toppin, F, Dayton
If any team is looking for a player to contribute right away in the frontcourt, Obi Toppin is the perfect prospect. Toppin is extremely athletic and will have the ability to be a versatile player in the NBA. Especially after proving that he can hit a consistent 3-point shot – he shot 39 percent from deep this past season for Dayton while averaging 20 points and eight boards per game.
Toppin may not have the ceiling as some of the other players in the top 5 but there’s no question that he’ll be able to be a rotation player for a team for a very long time. He has all the tools to do so and just needs to be placed in the right position.
Adding Toppin to a solid core of Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton could help this team compete for a playoff spot next season. He’s a solid rotation frontcourt player that would fit next to Ayton and could be a spark for this team off the bench if needed. The Suns might need a point guard, but adding Toppin at No. 10 is too good to pass up.
