10. Phoenix Suns – Obi Toppin, F, Dayton
Heading into next season, the Pheonix Suns will be one of the trendy teams in the Western Conference. After the performance that they put on in the NBA’s restart bubble, going 8-0 with Devin Booker lighting every opponent on fire, the expectations are only going to rise for the young, talented team.
Adding an NBA-ready contributor like Obi Toppin would be a huge get at No. 10. While I have my doubts that Toppin will fall this far in the top 10, it could happen depending on how the top of the draft unfolds. Toppin is 22 years old, a bit more mature than your average top 10 pick, and was extremely productive during Sophomore season at Dayton.
Toppin averaged 20 points and eight rebounds on 63 percent shooting from the field and 39 percent shooting from 3-point range. He’s athletic, a good finisher around the rim, and could be a versatile defender at the NBA level.
The Suns have Deandre Ayton in the middle, but shouldn’t think twice if Obi Toppin is available at 10.
