14. Boston Celtics – Precious Achiuwa, F, Memphis
The Boston Celtics don’t enter the 2020 NBA Draft with any glaring holes on its roster, but adding value with the 14th pick could go a long way in this franchise becoming a true championship contender next season. Precious Achiuwa could be an interesting prospect for Boston to take a shot on.
While he may not be a player that pays dividends immediately, he’s certainly a prospect that could help in spurts on the defensive end while his offensive game catches up. Achiuwa is extremely athletic and could be one of the better all-around defensive players in this draft class.
He’s coming off a freshman season at Memphis in which he averaged 16 points, 11 rebounds, and didn’t really posses much of a one-on-one offensive game. The sky is the limit for Achiuwa on the defensive end and if he can even become just an above-average offensive player, he has the chance to be a really good player.
Boston might be the perfect spot for Precious Achiuwa.
