18. Dallas Mavericks – RJ Hampton, G, New Zealand
RJ Hampton may not be a player that is ready to contribute right away, but he is extremely talented and could emerge as a worthy backcourt running mate for Luka Doncic down the road. He left much to be desired during his short stint with New Zealand but has the potential to prove his worth during pre-draft workouts.
19. Brooklyn Nets – Desmond Bane, G, TCU
Desmond Bane might not be a name you’ve heard of or one that has garnered much attention over the last couple of months regarding the 2020 NBA Draft, but he’s a player that could be a fit for a team like the Brooklyn Nets. Bane averaged 17 points during his senior season at TCU and was a prolific 3-point shooter every season in college – he shot 44 percent from 3 during his senior year.
20. Miami Heat – Kira Lewis Jr., G, Alabama
The Miami Heat will need a new starting point guard sooner rather than later and Kira Lewis Jr. is a player that the team could develop behind Goran Dragic in 2021. He might even be able to contribute in spurts but is almost certainly going to be a project for the Heat as they look to make a return to the NBA Finals next season.
