7. Goran Dragic, unrestricted
It’s a shame that Goran Dragic was injured during Game 1 of the NBA Finals because he was one of the most influential players on the Miami Heat this season. Miami doesn’t make it to the NBA Finals without Dragic. He was arguably the most important player to the team in the playoffs.
Even at 34 years old, there’s still going to be a robust market for a player like Goran Dragic. This season, he made the move to sixth man and excelled during that role with the Miami Heat. During the playoffs, he was elevated to a starter and continued his excellent play for the Heat during the NBA bubble.
I’m sure Miami will do everything they can to bring back Dragic, especially considering that he’s good friends with Jimmy Butler, but there will be other teams that will be interested in his services. The question becomes, will the Heat give Dragic what he wants in terms of money, and will they be able to make a deal work?
