1. Anthony Davis, player option

What can you say about Anthony Davis and his performance during his first season with the Los Angeles Lakers? It resulted in an NBA championship and an NBA finals MVP-worthy performance. Even though Anthony Davis will still be remembered as the second man on a championship team, he had a sensation coming out party during the postseason.

Something that eluded him through the first few years of his career.

During the postseason, Davis averaged 28 points and 10 rebounds on 57 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent shooting from 3-point range. Davis was the ultimate difference-maker for the Lakers in the NBA Finals and I’m not sure the Lakers beat the Heat without his presence on the floor.

Miami had no answers for Davis during the NBA Finals and there’s no question that the Lakers will be a championship contender as long as LeBron and Davis continue playing at this level. Anthony Davis will be a Los Angeles Lakers next season.
