Trade target: Buddy Hield

With the expectation that the Oklahoma City Thunder will start a complete rebuild this offseason, in part by trading Chris Paul and potentially Dennis Schroder (who is an expiring contract in 2020-21), one intriguing player that they could target is Buddy Hield.

Hield went to college in the area and could get reenergized by a change of scenery in a familiar place. He’d be a good fit next to Shai Gilgeious-Alexander and could even take a bigger role in the team’s offense.  He might not be the answer to the team’s rebuilding questions but could help keep fans engaged and entertained as the Thunder begin a potentially long rebuilding process.

It’s not clear if the Sacramento Kings are willing to move Buddy Hield this offseason, but there’s a chance they could look to retool around De’Aaron Fox and Marvin Bagley.
