Trade target: Blake Griffin

Hey, let’s get whacky! In the event that the Sacramento Kings would be looking to make their team more dynamic, they could target a player like Blake Griffin, who would be an interesting fit next to De’Aaron Fox. The Kings would be doing what they could to maximize this roster and Blake would be getting a fresh start that he may need.

As long as Blake remains healthy (and, really, there’s no guarantee of that), the Kings would be one of the most entertaining of teams to follow in the Western Conference. The Kings would likely have to include Buddy Hield and a draft pick to make it work, but it’d be an interesting pivot.

At this point, unless the Kings are willing to shake things up, I’m not sure this team has enough to seriously be a playoff threat in the Western Conference. That’s just how deep the conference will be in 2020-21.
