Trade target: Andre Drummond

Short of adding James Wiseman with the third pick, though there’s a growing sense that he won’t make it there, or trading up to get him, the Charlotte Hornets will likely need to address their lack of frontcourt depth via trade. Andre Drummond could emerge as a strong candidate considering he’s a player the Cleveland Cavaliers could shop if he opts-in to the final year of his contract.

Drummond’s still young enough where he could grow alongside this team’s young core, but he’s also considered a veteran in today’s game. He could offer experience and calmness to the locker room, while on the floor at the same time.

Drummond could carry some of the scoring load and would be the rim protector that this team simply hasn’t had in years. I don’t think Drummond is a primary building block in today’s NBA, but he could be a valuable piece for a team that needs some stabilization at this point in their rebuild.
