NBA Mock Draft: LaMelo Ball jumps back up to No. 1; Warriors make a big trade

19. Brooklyn Nets – Aleksej Pokusevski, C, Olympiacos

There’s a good chance that we don’t see Aleksej Pokusevski in the NBA for a couple of seasons, but he could end up being the next unicorn when he makes the transition. Pokusevski is a 7-footer that could do a little of everything. He has shown the ability to shoot, pass, and drive.

Should he continue to develop, he could be a good player for the Nets in a few seasons. He’d also work as a potential draft-and-stash player that the Nets won’t have to worry about right now. Brooklyn will be focused on winning a championship over the next two seasons and, quite frankly, Pokusevski wouldn’t have a role at all.

The future is bright for Pokusevski if he continues to develop at the pace that he has recently, but there’s no need to rush anything at all at this point.
