Philadelphia 76ers

What to be thankful for: Daryl Morey opting to join the front office

The Philadelphia 76ers should be thankful for Daryl Morey electing to join the front office after he elected to step down as the general manager for the Houston Rockets. Morey hit the ground running with the Sixers as he traded Al Horford and brought in much-needed shooting with Seth Curry and Danny Green.

We’ll see if he ends up winning a championship in Philadelphia, the one thing missing from a successful tenure with the Rockets, but he’s gotten off to a great start with the team.

Phoenix Suns

What to be thankful for: Trading for Chris Paul

The Phoenix Suns needed to be proactive during this offseason, however, I’m not sure many had this team trading for Chris Paul as an option. Nevertheless, the front office pulled through and finally delivered Devin Booker a legit star as a running mate.

The duo of Chris Paul and Devin Booker should be a magical one for the Suns in 2020-21. Whether that will result in a deep playoff run remains to be seen.
