Christmas wishlist: Another step for their young core

The Memphis Grizzlies are one of the most interesting teams heading into the 2020-21 NBA season. Not because of any one specific player, but because of the totality of this young core. Led by Ja Morant, this team has the potential to be one of the most dynamic teams in the Western Conference this season.

However, a lot of that will depend on this team’s progression from their young core this season. The Grizzlies are hoping that their young pieces continue to develop into the young stars in many projected to be. That’s Jaren Jackson Jr., Morant, and Justise Winslow, who this team added at the NBA trade deadline from the Miami Heat last season.

Winslow hasn’t played much with the Grizzlies and is expected to miss the start of the season due to another injury, but the sky is the limit for this player.

If the Grizzlies can continue to progress and they can bring their young talent along, there’s no question that the Grizzlies could be a sleeper playoff team in the Western Conference this season.
