Are the Milwaukee Bucks still missing a piece?

Even though many questioned the Milwaukee Bucks’ decision to trade for Jrue Holiday, mostly because of how costly that deal proved to be, it was a move that many thought would help complete this team.

On paper, it makes sense. Holiday is a two-way point guard that would help with the playmaking and is a good 3-point shooter. However, through the first month of the season, the Bucks don’t look like that same team from last season (at least, the team they were in the regular season).

Giannis Antetokounmpo is still great and they have a top 10 offense and defense, including the second-best net rating in basketball. That said, something still feels off with this team. They’re 9-6 and have been hit or miss on most nights.

During the 2019-20 season, the Bucks didn’t lose their sixth game of the season until January 6 – until their 38th game of the season. This season, they’ve lost six games through the first month. Maybe I’m wrong and am overthinking, but something feels off when I watch this team.
