NBA Trade Deadline candidate: Wayne Ellington, Detroit Pistons
Wayne Ellington has been somewhat of a forgotten player over the last couple of seasons. Ever since he left Miami, after he had a bit of a career resurgence with the team, we haven’t exactly heard much about The Man With The Golden Arm.
However, this season with the Detroit Pistons, Ellington is off to a great start shooting the basketball. Even though Ellington doesn’t play a big role for the Pistons, he’s proving once again that he can be a capable and productive shooter from outside.
Ellington is shooing 53 percent from deep this season, a skill-set that almost every contending team could use. If the Pistons elect to trade Ellington, there’s no doubt in my mind that there would be a market for the shooting-specialist.
