Miami Heat trade target: Richaun Holmes, Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings may only be 1.5 games back of the 8th seed in the Western Conference but there’s no guarantee that they won’t be sellers at the NBA Trade Deadline. One potential fit for the Heat off Sacramento’s roster is Richaun Holmes, a 27-year-old power forward.

Holmes is having a great start to his sixth season in the league, averaging 12 points and eight rebounds per game on 67 percent shooting from the field. He’d add some much-needed depth to their frontcourt, whether that’s off the bench or in a starting role next to Bam (though, there’d be some concern about fit there).

Holmes will be a free agent after the season and could emerge as a candidate to be traded by the deadline. If the Kings shop Richaun Holmes over the next few weeks, there’s no question the Heat should make a phone call.
