NBA surprising stat, No.1: Damian Lillard being top 5 in Free throws attempted & Free throw percentage

The last surprising stat on the list is the fact that Damian Lillard is 4th in the league in both free throw attempts (152), and 4th in the league in free throw percentage (94.7%).

Similar to what I said about Joe Harris, it’s not that he is among the league leaders in attempts, or that he shoots such a high percentage, it’s that he is doing them simultaneously that makes it so impressive.

Lillard is keeping his team afloat in the Western Conference as they currently sit at the seventh seed. I expect Dame to keep this up for the remainder of the season as he is so good at drawing fouls, either going to the rim or on his jump shot. and because he’s such an automatic shooter, his percentages will stay up.
