New York Knicks’ encouraging sign No. 2: Julius Randle’s breakout season

Another bright spot for the New York Knicks this season has been the play and resurgence of Julius Randle. In his second season with the Knicks, Randle is having arguably the best statistical season of his career thus far. Randle is averaging 23 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists on 48 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent shooting from 3-point range.

Randle still has one year remaining on the three-year deal that he signed with the Knicks the last offseason and has now emerged as a core player for this team. Even if New York doesn’t see a long-term fit with Randle, his contract is valuable enough where they could get a nice return on the trade market.

The Knicks have some options heading into this year’s NBA Trade Deadline, and it’s no longer an option between being sellers or sellers.
