NBA 6MOY – Tyler Herro, Miami Heat

Another easy decision for me was choosing Tyler Herro for Sixth Man of the Year. After a rookie year full of glimpses of high potential, Herro didn’t show much progression in his second season. However, he’s made a huge jump so far during his third season in his new role of sixth man.

On the defensive-minded Miami Heat, Tyler Herro is the 2nd leading scorer with 21 points a game. He’s also averaging a solid five rebounds and four assists game. He’s putting up starter stats as the first guy off the bench, giving them great energy and playing important minutes down the stretch.

His shooting splits are also a solid 46/39/83, and as long as he keeps up this production, Herro should run away with this award.

Herro is my pick for the Sixth Man of the Year award at the end of the season as well.
