New York Knicks
If the New York Knicks really wanted to shake the foundation of the league, they would throw a huge offer in the direction of the Sixers in which they would be able to land Ben Simmons in exchange for Kemba Walker, RJ Barrett, Obi Toppin, and Nerlens Noel.
A first-round pick or two could be thrown in as bait to get the deal completed. I’m not sure this makes the Sixers a championship team this season, but watching Barrett grow next to Joe Embiid would be fascinating.
This deal makes even more sense assuming that the Sixers are sold on the long-term potential of Tyrese Maxey. The Knicks would be taking a big gamble, but what’s new about that line of thinking. It’s the Knicks and they can’t stand falling short of expectation.
