San Antonio Spurs: Direction

The San Antonio Spurs are solid, just like they’ve been for the past few seasons. Dejounte Murray is in the middle of a possible breakout season. Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell have had their moments as well. Heck, even Joshua Primo has some hype after being regarded as a massive overdraft on the night of the selection.

There’s no franchise cornerstone, in my opinion. Murray could be the No. 2 or No. 3 on a really good team, but not the No. 1 option for a team like this. They need to find a cornerstone. Or some direction. You’re not trying to tank but you’re not playing Thaddeus Young? It’s like the opposite of the Houston Rockets problem. I hope for the Spurs to find some direction as a franchise, whether it is up or down.

Toronto Raptors: Superstar

This is less of a hope and more of what I think. The Raptors are silently hunting. They have talent and big contracts to combine in a blockbuster trade. Specifically Pascal Siakam. I doubt guys like Fred VanVleet, Gary Trent Jr., or OG Anunoby are untouchable either.

Masai Ujiri brought the only title to Toronto in a trade for Kawhi Leonard. They were heavily rumored to be targeting Giannis before he re-upped in MKE. Toronto is on the lookout for another superstar to add, and they’re hoping the opportunity arises.
