3. Goran Dragic
Speaking of the Toronto Raptors, they have another veteran player they could look to move by the trade deadline in Goran Dragic.
Like Pascal Siakam, Dragic’s trade value will never be higher than it is right now. He’s 35 years old, with a few years left as a serviceable NBA player on a contending team. The difference between him and Siakam is that the Raptors would get nowhere near as much in return for Dragic. Still, though, the Raptors could certainly get a future draft pick or a young prospect in return for Dragic which would be perfect for a team in Toronto that’s main focus is developing their young talent and gaining future assets.
According to Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel, Dragic would like to return to Miami:
"“Don’t kid yourself, Goran Dragic would love nothing more,” wrote Winderman regarding a possible Dragic Miami return. “He attended the Heat’s Tuesday victory over the [Washington] Wizards at the FTX Arena and has been working out there, as his situation with the Raptors is sorted out.”"
If Miami does pursue Dragic, they could look to send a future first or second and a young asset like Max Strus or Gabe Vincent for the veteran guard. If not, then Toronto could pursue other options. Dragic will definitely be on the trading block this deadline.
