9. Philadelphia 76ers

Winners of seven of their last eight games, the Philadelphia 76ers have played much better as of late. Their season has been pretty dependent on Joel Embiid’s health. When he’s healthy, the Sixers are a really good team. When he’s not, they’re not good.

However, what separates this team from being a true contender in the Eastern Conference this season is the lack of a consistent No. 2. That’s where the team is feeling the loss of Ben Simmons the most.

With a second star, the Sixers would be a legit championship contender. Right now, Philadelphia doesn’t have that and that’s the biggest reason why it’s difficult to take this team seriously right now.
