3. Bradley Beal – Washington Wizards

This trade should have happened before this season started.

The Wizards are another team that has reached their potential with the current roster and not risen very high. Washington is 22-20 after 42 games and all their top five scorers are 26 or older. This team isn’t going to get much better, so the right thing is to break it up now and hit the reset button.

Bradley Beal could also be out of contract this summer. He has a player option for next season worth $37.3 million, but he could choose not to take it, leaving Washington high and dry in the process.

The Wizards could get a lot for Beal if the team he is traded to is assured that Beal will sign an extension with them this summer. That way Beal gets a fresh start and a new deal, whilst Washington gets cap space and some draft picks to begin their rebuilding process.

Win-win.
