Sixers Dump Harris Contract, Take on Randle and Kemba Walker
It has been reported that the Philadelphia 76ers are shopping Tobias Harris and I believe the Knicks are a good fit. The 76ers owe Tobias Harris over $110 million over the next three seasons and are regretting that massive contract extension they handed him in 2019.
They now have the opportunity to right their wrongdoing by taking on Julius Randle who’s on a much more team friendly contract. In this scenario, the Sixers would send Tobias Harris and their 2022 first-round pick in echange for Julius Randle and Kemba Walker.
The Knicks are looking to feature RJ Barrett more in their offense and I believe a less ball dominant player in Harris would give Barrett the opportunity to be the Knicks’ No. 1 guy.
The Sixers get a great forward in return as well as a veteran point guard who can still get buckets off the bench.
