NBA Trade Rumors: 9 big names who should be traded and possible deals

Potential deal: 

Philadelphia 76ers get: CJ McCollum, 2024 first-round pick, 2026 first-round pick 

Portland Trail Blazers get: Ben Simmons 

Now I’ll tackle this deal from a Philadelphia 76ers’ standpoint. Even though the return for Ben Simmons isn’t as vast or dynamic as many believe it will be, this is probably the best that they can do considering the situation.

And I don’t think it’s smart for this team to simply wait until the offseason when Joel Embiid is in the midst of the best season of his career thus far. The Sixers need to capitalize on that and give him the supporting cast that he deserves.

Philadelphia has a good roster and just needs to find that second start that will help Embiid lead this team toward a deep playoff run in the Eastern Conference.
