Will the Golden State Warriors be a true contender in the playoffs?

During the first half of the season, the Golden State Warriors appeared to be the best team in the NBA. However, over the past six weeks, something has been off for Golden State. Perhaps all that could be chalked up to the team not being 100 percent, but at this point in the season which team hasn’t had to battle through injury or unavailability?

Nevertheless, the Warriors are just 13-10 since the beginning of January. Their offense has fallen out of the top 15 and if it hadn’t been for their consistent defense, I’m not sure where this team would be right now.

However, the hope is that the Warriors are only going to get healthier and that they will once again begin to click.

We have to wait and see. Time will tell if that actually happens and if that means the Warriors would be considered a true contender in the West this season.
