5. Detroit Pistons – Jaden Ivey, G, Purdue

If this is how the top 4 fall on draft night, the Detroit Pistons should run to turn in their draft card – unless they’d be open to a trade down. Jaden Ivey will be a top 5 selection and if he’s available at No. 5, there’s a chance the Pistons could get a good haul if they were open to a trade.

Perhaps a team like the New York Knicks, Indiana Pacers, or Washington Wizards would be open to a trade up – teams that need a guard. Or, if nothing of interest came available, the Pistons could just take Ivey themselves.

Ivey has the potential to be a really good player and could be a good fit next to Cade Cunningham. If he were available at No. 5, he would be a huge steal out of the top 3 for Detroit.
