Donovan Mitchell would embrace Heat culture and Kevin Durant may not
For as fun as it would be for Kevin Durant to wear a Miami Heat jersey, we must be honest. There’s not a strong chance that he would whole-heartily embrace Miami Heat culture. He’d absolutely be all-in when it comes to the on-the-court stuff, but I’m not so sure when it comes to the off-the-court factors.
Mitchell would 100 percent embrace Heat culture and could be the next face for the franchise next to Bam. And that’s something that is invaluable for the franchise. Acquiring Mitchell would pay off for the franchise 5-10 years down the line.
I’m not so sure if acquiring Durant would have that impact. Then again, winning a championship in the next 2-3 years may still trump all.
The Heat is looking to make a big splash. Donovan Mitchell and Kevin Durant are at the top of their wishlist. It remains to be seen whether the Heat can actually close the deal on any of them.
