6. Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers have some climbing up to do this season and without a big move heading into training camp, there will be plenty of hesitance. Especially with the way they unraveled last season after the acquisition of Russell Westbrook.
Nevertheless, if this team is healthy, the Lakers should make the playoffs this season. Anthony Davis and LeBron James are too good of talents for them to miss the playoffs for a second straight season. Of course, all that is out the door if health is not on their side this season.
And if the Lakers could trade Westbrook for anything of significance this offseason – perhaps a Kyrie Irving, Buddy Hield, or Myles Turner – they should be sitting in a good position. An under-the-radar LeBron-led Lakers team could be exactly what we end up witnessing this season.
