4. Miami Heat
Miami Heat get Donovan Mitchell
Utah Jazz get Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro, Nikola Jovic, Gabe Vincent, Max Strus, 2023 first-round pick, 2027 first-round pick, 2029 first-round pick
As much as I believe that Donovan Mitchell would make sense for a team like the Miami Heat, let’s be real honest about their roster. If they have no plans of moving Bam Adebayo or Jimmy Butler, there isn’t much that’s left that would be something the Utah Jazz would particularly be interested in.
Herro is due a big extension and while Gabe Vincent and Max Strus are good players, they’re nothing more than possible role players. Duncan Robinson is a great shooter when he isn’t in over his head.
And the Heat simply doesn’t have a ton of first-round picks that they could trade to the Jazz. Because of that, the Heat, at least for now, shouldn’t be a true threat to snag Mitchell away from one of the other interested suitors.
