Will Kevin Durant be happy in Golden State?

The Golden State Warriors have done everything the right way. And Kevin Durant likely can appreciate that.

If KD’s going to be happy playing basketball and winning championships, why wouldn’t he be happy in Golden State? Of course, there will be critics but the idea of having a chance to win every year is something KD likes to put himself in a position to do.

Questions about legacy shouldn’t really matter, he’s done everything he could to accomplish things on the biggest stage in the world so why should he care? No matter how much he is criticized and talked about for not getting a ring without the Warriors, there are legends that went on in their careers without getting a taste of an NBA Championship.

KD’s a top 75 player of all time, MVP, two-time NBA champion, and two-time finals MVP. His resume speaks for itself in terms of basketball. Criticizing him for not being a leader and not being able to so-called “carry a team” doesn’t take away from who he is.

In reality, this would look good for both organizations but the question is are both sides willing to make major changes going forward?

The Nets may end up keeping Kevin Durant if they don’t get any better offers. But there’s still a whole month left before the start of training camp. Hey, maybe the Warriors decide to roll the dice?
