Notable moves: Signed Otto Porter Jr.

After a slow start to the season, the Toronto Raptors turned around and made a huge run up the Eastern Conference standings toward the end of the season. The Raptors finished as the sixth seed but injuries took a big enough of a toll that they couldn’t withstand the Philadelphia 76ers’ onslaught in the first round of the playoffs.

That said, there is much to be optimistic about for the Raptors moving forward. Scottie Barnes won the NBA’s Rookie of the Year award and is only going to get better, Pascal Siakam had a bounce-back year, and, when healthy, they’re one of the deepest teams in the East.

Even without a Kevin Durant acquisition, the Raptors should still be a really good team in the East next season.
