Tobias Harris, 2026 first-round pick swap, and 2029 first-round pick swap to Magic for Gary Harris and Mo Bamba

Tobias Harris is the best player in this trade, but the second guaranteed year on his enormous deal necessitates the pick swaps (due to obligations to the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Brooklyn Nets, the 76ers can’t trade any future picks, only swaps in these two years.)

With second-year team options, Harris and Mo Bamba were signed/extended for the express written purpose of being traded. The Magic would do well to oblige them, especially for someone like 2011 Orlando Magic draft pick Tobias Harris, who is not so ball-dominant as to stifle the growth of Jalen Suggs and Paolo Banchero.

On the 76ers’ side of things, both Bamba and Harris (whose meniscus tear sucks, but probably won’t wreck his whole season) could be useful depth pieces during the regular season, and break-in-case of emergency options during the playoffs.
