After the offseason that they went through, it would be shocking if the Utah Jazz wasn’t on this list. Nevertheless, almost by design, the Jazz is likely going to take a huge step back this season. Not only did the Jazz elect to split Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert, but they decide to trade them both this offseason.

Utah traded Gobert in July and Mitchell to start September. In return, the Jazz got a collection of first-round picks and a good crop of young players to jumpstart their rebuild. After failing to break through in the Western Conference with this core, the Jazz thought it was in the best interest of the franchise to hit the restart button.

The Jazz is going to struggle over the next couple of years. But it could end up paying dividends if they can use their future first-round draft picks properly. For this season, though, the Jazz is going to be tough to watch.
