New York Knicks

Even though the New York Knicks fell short in the Donovan Mitchell sweepstakes, this is still a team that I feel took a positive step forward this offseason. Let’s remember, it wasn’t all doom and gloom for the Knicks this summer. They did manage to land one of the top free agents in Jalen Brunson.

Brunson should bring an element to the point guard position (and overall to the offensive side of the court) that the Knicks didn’t have last season. He should help carry some of the offensive load and will open opportunities for other players on that end of the floor.

If RJ Barrett can take another step in his progression, the Knicks should be in a very good spot this season. And with the hype that surrounds Quentin Grimes, it seems as if the Knicks may know something that the rest of the league doesn’t. New York will surprise some in the NBA this season. And it will be in a positive way.
