The Golden State Warriors will be tested in an improved Western Conference

Heading into the 2022-23 NBA season as the defending champs, the Golden State Warriors will be exactly where they want to be. They will be one of the favorites to once again come out of the Western Conference, but they will be tested.

The Los Angeles Lakers will be better and the LA Clippers will be healthy. The Memphis Grizzlies will likely take another step forward in their progression and the Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, and Denver Nuggets will all be looking to be a factor in the conference as well.

The West, as a whole, will be improved from last season. Despite all that, I think it would be foolish not to consider the Warriors as the favorite to start the year.

That could change at any point, but the Warriors have to feel good about their chances this season. And, as is the case every year in the NBA, you can’t let a good opportunity fall through your fingers. That’s exactly what the Warriors have this season.
