Trade idea No. 4: Heat adds a versatile wing
Over the past couple of seasons, it seems like it’s a tradition for the Miami Heat to be linked to Harrison Barnes. Perhaps this is finally the year where they make a move for him? He’s an expiring contract and would make sense considering the team’s need in the frontcourt and specifically at the power forward position.
In this trade, the Heat would send Victor Oladipo’s contract along with Duncan Robinson and staple two assets in a future first-round pick and Nikola Jovic (who would essentially act as a future first-round pick).
I’m not sure if that would be enough for the Sacramento Kings to consider but this is a team that could enter seller mode early. The Kings have struggled out of the gate this season and are currently 0-3. If they continue at this pace, it would be shocking if Barnes wasn’t moved at the trade deadline.
