Series prediction: Cavaliers in 6
At least in my opinion, this first-round NBA playoff matchup between the Knicks and Cavs is one of the most interesting. It’s my favorite matchup in the Eastern Conference. I could see either team winning but considering the unknown that surrounds Julius Randle’s status, I believe that the Cavs are currently in a better position than the Knicks to advance.
Both of these teams are two of the young, rising teams in the East. And they should be mainstays in the top 5 of the conference for years to come. It’s a shame that one of them will be knocked out this early and that this series is taking place in the first round. Nevertheless, it could be quite entertaining to watch and could steal the spotlight.
In the end, I believe the Cavs are a little ahead of the Knicks right now in their progression. And likely because the Cavs already have their superstar and that still remains a question for the Knicks.
Cleveland should win this series and I believe they will in six games. Darius Garland, Mitchell, and Evan Mobley will prove to be too much for the Knicks. This could be the start of a great rivalry moving forward, however.
