Series prediction: Philadelphia 76ers in 5

Since moving on from Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, the Nets have been a good story. Many thought they would completely fall off in the Eastern Conference but they did everything but that. The Nets managed to hold onto the sixth seed but will now have the tough task of having to dethrone a red-hot Sixers team. The Sixers are heading into a postseason that could end up changing the course of the franchise moving forward.

There’s no guarantee that James Harden will be back next season and if he isn’t, who knows what this roster is going to look like next year. It seems that we’ve come to the end of the road for the Embiid-build in Philly and something has to give. If they don’t make a deep playoff run this season, there will be some big questions that the front office will be tasked with answering this summer.

I predict that the Sixers will run through the Nets. They’re going to have a great start to this postseason run and will win in four or five games. Out of respect for how hard Brooklyn is, I’ll give them one game. At least in the first round, the Sixers will prove to be up for the challenge.
