2. Amen Thompson, Overtime Elite

Amen Thompson may not be the best overall point guard prospect in this year’s NBA Draft, but he’s one of the most intriguing. And that intrigue starts with his size. Thompson measures up at 6-foot-7 with a nearly 7-foot wingspan. There aren’t many point guards of that size in the NBA and you’d at the very least be attracted to his uniqueness. He’s also a great athlete and possesses the ability to be a sparkplug for an offense. And that’s what many NBA Draft scouts will love most about him.

The biggest reason why he’s not the No. 1 point guard prospect on this list is due to his inability to shoot the ball on a consistent basis. Thompson has great potential and a limitless ceiling as he prepares to make the leap to the NBA. If he lands on the right team in the right situation, there’s no question that he’ll have a great opportunity to flourish.

I have no doubt in my mind that through the pre-draft process, Thompson is going to be in conversation to go as high as No. 3 in this year’s NBA Draft. At the very least, he’s going to be a top 5 pick.
