Paul George, LA Clippers
After another disappointing end to the season, there’s nothing that is off the table for the LA Clippers heading into the summer. Even though it would be surprising if the Clippers blew it up this offseason, in the NBA you can never say never. Is it likely that the Clippers are going to trade Paul George, probably not. However, if there are any whispers that arise this summer, the Rockets should explore a potential trade of PG.
He has had his struggles through his career but when he’s healthy, he’s one of the most underrated stars in the NBA. If the Clippers are ready to move on from Kawhi Leonard and PG, the latter would draw plenty of interest from around the league. And if the Rockets offer a package centered around Jalen Green, that’s probably something the Clippers would not be able to decline.
The Rockets will have options heading into the offseason. If they truly want to improve their roster, there will be avenues for doing so. The big question is whether they’ll pull the trigger on a big move and whether it will cost them a young player such as Jalen Green.
