3. Detroit Pistons – Brandon Miller, F, Alabama

Already with a solid core, the Detroit Pistons landing a top 3 pick, which they are projected to do, would only help this team expedite their developmental progress. And even though it would be nice for the Pistons to land Victor Wembanyama or even Scoot Henderson, there’s no shame in landing Brandon Miller as the consolation prize of landing the No. 3 overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

At 6-foot-9, Miller has a skill set that not many prospects his size possess. Even though he had a rough showing during the NCAA Tournament, this is a player that will be able to score and score at will as soon as he gets the rhythm of the NBA game. Miller has the potential to be a true No. 1 offensive option in the NBA and that may be exactly what the Pistons are missing right now.

Detroit may still be a year or two from being a real problem in the Eastern Conference, but this is a team that is getting better by the second. If they can remain healthy and land a top 3 pick in this year’s NBA Draft, the Pistons are a team to keep an eye on heading into next season.
