The pipe dream for the Sacramento Kings heading into the offseason has to be OG Anunoby. He would fill the team’s need at the small forward position (in the event that Harrison Barnes leaves for one more big payday) and would immediately be an asset on the wing as one of the best and most versatile defenders in the league. He’s also a player that could continue to grow as a go-to option on the offensive end of the floor.

Anunoby is one of the NBA’s most underrated two-way stars in the league right now. Overshadowed a bit by bigger names in Toronto, Anunoby would get the opportunity to prove his worth in a bigger role with the Kings.

And overlooked Anunoby on the overlooked Kings just seems like a great pairing. At just 25 years old, Anunoby’s best basketball is still very much in front of him. Perhaps the Kings are a team that could end up sparking the next chapter of his basketball career.

The Kings will be looking to make moves during the offseason. They must improve. Whether they attempt to target a star or not remains to be seen, but there’s no question that they should be willing to go all-in this summer.
