23. Portland Trail Blazers (via New York Knicks) – Jalen Hood-Schifino, G, Indiana
Now that there is some clarity revolving around the Portland Trail Blazers as it concerns the NBA Draft Lottery, this is a team that will have to begin to make some tough decisions. Will they try to continue to build around Damian Lillard or will they be open to a possibly franchise-changing decision?
Either way, Jalen Hood-Schifino could be a player that helps bridge the gap for the Blazers. He certainly has his limitations as a player and may have a somewhat limited ceiling, but his talent and production make him almost a surefire first-round pick.
24. Sacramento Kings – Bobi Klintman, F, Wake Forest
Taking a big step forward this season, the Sacramento Kings will be selecting outside the lottery (with their initial pick) for the first time since the 2006 NBA Draft.
Bobi Klintman just averaged five points and five rebounds on 37 percent shooting from 3-point range during his freshman season at Wake Forest, but he’s emerged as a prospect that could end up being selected in the first round. And that has been a recent development. I’d imagine that he’s going to absolutely impress during individual workouts.
Maybe the Kings take the gamble on Klintman late in the first round.
