Trade assets: 1. 2023 NBA draft pick (1st overall) 2. Keldon Johnson 3. Devin Vassell

The San Antonio Spurs are suddenly the epicenter of the NBA, thanks to the 2023 NBA Draft Lotter in which they earned the right to select Victor Wembanyama with the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft. Objectively, that has to be considered the Spurs’ best trade asset (even though they would never actually shop it) heading into the offseason. And you can’t help but wonder what the Spurs could theoretically get in exchange.

After that, the Spurs have a couple of other solid trade assets in the way of its young players. Keldon Johnson is an intriguing young player to keep an eye on next season and could very well be a huge part of the team’s building plan around Wemby. Johnson is coming off a season in which he averaged 22 points, five rebounds, and three assists this past season.

Devin Vassell is another one of the team’s young players that could draw some significant interest on the trade block. And, quite frankly, it wouldn’t be all that surprising if they did end up moving him at some point.
