Kyle Lowry

The Kyle Lowry fit on the Miami Heat has been a bit wonky ever since he was acquired by the team a couple of offseasons ago. Up until this year’s postseason run, there’s an argument to be made that he was a bit of a mistake. However, looking at the team right now, he’s playing the perfect role for him at this point in his career. Lowry has been a huge part of the successful Heat playoff run, something that was quite unexpected just a couple of months ago.

Considering he’s an expiring contract next season, he could emerge as a sought-after veteran point guard during the summer. For contenders that have a need at the point guard position, like the Lakers, they could look to Lowry as a potential answer. Despite this recent run, the Heat will likely want to move Lowry this offseason.

He may not be the long-term answer at the point guard position that the Lakers may be looking for but there’s no question that he could play a winning role for a veteran team that will be heading into a season that is championship or bust.
