Terry Rozier
If the Los Angeles Lakers wanted to roll the dice on somewhat of a younger veteran option, Terry Rozier would make a lot of sense. Of course, this would hinge on whether the Charlotte Hornets even want to trade Rozier. But if they’d be open to it, perhaps for one of the Lakers’ future first-round picks (and salary), they could make it happen. Rozier would immediately inject the Lakers with excitement that they haven’t had in quite a while.
For as well as the NBA Trade Deadline moves ended up being for the Lakers, I don’t think there was a ton of “excitement” surrounding the acquisitions of D’Angelo Russell and Jarred Vanderbilt. Even though they ended up being important parts of the Lakers’ playoff run, Rozier is at a bit of a different level at this point in his career.
And at 29, Rozier would also still be considered a veteran option. Despite the Hornets’ struggles this season, Rozier is still coming off a year in which he averaged 21 points, five assists, and four rebounds on 42 percent shooting from the field.
