6. Orlando Magic – Anthony Black, G, Arkansas

The Orlando Magic are in the market for a point guard. That’s something we know about the team heading into the offseason. They will likely check in on some of the veteran options in free agency, such as Fred VanVleet who the team has been linked to in the past. However, if Anthony Black is available, I have a hard time believing that the Magic are going to pass on the opportunity to draft him with the No. 6 pick in this draft.

At the same time, the Magic do have to be careful with this possible selection. Black is considered by some as one of the bigger gambles in the top 10. So much so that there are recent whispers that he could fall out of the top 10. Nevertheless, I believe that’s more smoke than fire. Black projects to be a strong playmaker and that’s exactly what the Magic need.

If he lives up to the hype, he could be a player that completely raises the ceiling for this team heading into next season. Even though it would be unfair for a rookie to have that level of impact on a team, especially a young one, that’s how much the Magic need a table-setter at the point guard position.
