Collin Sexton, Utah Jazz
When the Utah Jazz decided to ask for Collin Sexton (via sign and trade) as part of the blockbuster trade package for Donovan Mitchell last summer, the thought was that the team was going to absorb an asset that could pay dividends down the road. Heading into the offseason, “down the road” could be NBA Draft night. According to a recent report, the Jazz have held trade talks centered around Sexton.
Considering the Jazz have three first-round picks heading into the NBA Draft, there’s probably some talk about packaging Sexton with one of those picks to move up, or there’s a real chance Utah has their eyes on another guard they want to take and believes it’s in the best interest of that plan to move on from Sexton.
Either way, it appears that there’s a growing chance that Sexton could be moved this offseason. And if that does end up happening, you’d have to imagine that there’s a good chance that it happens on NBA Draft night.
